Development of training programmes for quantitative and qualitative studies, including classroom-based and field-based elements; preparation of training materials (PowerPoint presentations, videos, handouts, study guides etc.); delivery of training; participation in pilot exercises; training on use of PDAs; interview techniques; participatory methods such as Participatory Rural Analysis (PRA); training in specialised data collection e.g. anthropometric data, data on corruption

Development of study objectives; formulation of key research questions and hypotheses; identification of populations and sampling frames; survey strategies; questionnaire design/field testing (including identification of survey strata, sample size calculations, probabilistic sampling procedures, calculation of design effect, etc.)

We can undertake data collection for all types of quantitative and qualitative field-based research, from large scale household surveys to qualitative studies using Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques.

Many of our field investigators have experience using SmartPhones/Tablets/Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and of specialised methodologies for collecting anthropometric data, blood sample collection, GPS, data on corruption etc.

Highly trained data entry technicians are working with DMA on a full and part-time basis to design data entry templates, undertake data entry and preparation of datasets for analysis (i.e. data cleaning and implementation of quality control mechanisms)

We have the ability to handle large scale data sets and proven ability to carry out complex statistical and qualitative analysis using SPSS, SAS, Ethnograph, Nudist and produce reports for varied audiences.

Data analysis services we can offer include: interpretation of qualitative and quantitative results; descriptive analysis; univariate and multivariate analysis; data modeling; data reduction; and non-parametric analysis.

In addition to conventional baseline/midline/endline surveys, impact evaluations etc. DMA is a pioneer within Bangladesh in the field of programme auditing through our work with the DFID-funded Chars Livelihoods Programme since 2007

Assignments of this nature have included Customer Satisfaction Surveys, studies to determine the levels of corruption in programme delivery, and verification of project outputs.

Programme auditing can contribute to enhanced performance of the programmes concerned.
